Description
This class will describe at the molecular level some principles governing the reactivity in enzymes and metallo-enzymes for different class of reactions (hydrolytic catalysis, redox catalysis) involved in different metabolic pathways. The focus will be made on the reaction mechanisms at the active sites.
Objectifs
- bioinorganic chemistry in a biological context:
- Presentation of the bio-inorganic domain
- Hydrolytic processes (hydrolysis of peptides)
- Redox reactions and dioxygen activation
- bioorganic chemistry in a biological context:
- Reaction mechanisms in bioorganic chemistry
- Metabolism of aminoacids
- Metabolism of carbohydrates
- Metabolism of nucleotides
